Stolen ATV – February 10,18

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information about the theft of an ATV in South Stormont

 On February 10, 2018 at approximately 4:53pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of an ATV from a business on Cornwall Center Road, South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight, February 10, 2017 a 2003 Green Honda TF6 ATV was removed from the property.

Stolen Vehicle – Jan 29,18

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information about a vehicle theft in South Stormont

On January 29, 2018 at approximately 8:51am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Van from a Business on Cornwall Centre Road, South Stormont Township

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight January 28, 2018 a 2008 Orange Dodge Caravan was removed from the property

On January 15, 2018 at approximately 3:14am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business (MacEwens Gas Station) on Highway 138, North Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight January 15, 2018 culprit(s) entered a business and removed cigarettes and lottery tickets

Failure to Remain – Jan 7,18

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information about a break and enter in South Stormont

The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to investigate a Fail To Remain Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian Collision that occurred at approximately 5:53 p.m. on January 7, 2018.

At that time responding officers located an adult female pedestrian suffering from serious non- threatening injuries on Shannette Road, South Dundas Township. The female was transported to hospital.

Investigation to date reveals that the female victim had been struck by an unknown vehicle, which then left the scene. 

The vehicle description from  a witness is as follows: small, black(possibly dark blue), four door car with oval type headlights (possibly a newer model).   The vehicle was last seen turning onto Strader Road, South Dundas.

Break in – Dec 13,17

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information about a break and enter in South Stormont

On December 13, 2017 at approximately 5:12pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in progress at a residence on Kent Crescent, South Stormont Township.

The homeowner returned home to find an unknown male inside the home.  The suspect then fled the location without removing any property. The male is described as: white male, 30-40 years old, wearing a black jacket and white Nike running shoes.  SD&G K9 Unit attended with negative results

Hit & Run – Dec 24, 2015

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information a hit and run that occurred Christmas eve in 2015

The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit is seeking the public’s assistance into the investigation of a Fail To Remain Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian Collision that occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. on December 24, 2015.

At that time responding officers located an adult male pedestrian suffering from life threatening injury on County Road 22 (Dyer Rd) east of Highway 138 in North Stormont.

Investigation to date reveals that the male victim had been struck by an unknown vehicle, which then left the scene.  The male victim survived and is recovering from his injuries.  

The Stormont Dundas Glengarry OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Mark Zulinski of the Criminal investigation Branch (CIB), is continuing with the investigation.

On December 8, 2017 at approximately 7:38am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Utility Trailer from a Residence on Heritage Road, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that sometime December 7-8, 2017, a 2015 Black Home Triton V-Nose trailer with Ontario Licence Plate (N9268E) with various tools inside was removed from the property.

ATV Theft – Dec 7,17

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information about an ATV theft that occurred in North Dundas

On December 7, 2017 at approximately 5:17pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of an ATV from Boyne Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that sometime December 7, 2017 between 4:15pm-5:15pm a 2011 Yellow CANAM Outlander ATV with Ontario Licence Plate (6BV75) and with 28″ tires and a radiator relocation kit was removed from the property

Failure to Remain – 2017

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the SD&G OPP are asking for information about numerous failure to remains during 2017

On February 3, 2017 at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on College Street in the Town of Chesterville, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a black pick-up truck struck a home and fled the scene. Damage should be evident to the front of the vehicle. No injuries resulted.

On September 2, 2017 at approximately 9:00pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Boyne Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a dark coloured sedan crashed into a ditch and fled the scene. Damage should be evident to the front of the vehicle. No injuries resulted.

On September 18, 2017 at approximately 9:26pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Saunders Avenue, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that a silver vehicle crashed into a ditch and fled the scene. Damage should be evident to the front of the vehicle. No injuries resulted.

On September 20, 2017 at approximately 8:30am, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Rae Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a dark grey Nissan Altima crashed into a ditch and fled the scene. Damage should be evident to the front of the vehicle. No injuries resulted.

Stolen Scooter – Nov 22,17

Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers and the Cornwall Community Police Service are asking for information about a theft of a scooter between November 20, 2017 & November 21, 2017

The Cornwall Community Police Service responded to the report of a theft of an electric scooter that was stolen between November 20th, 2017 and November 21st, 2017. There was also a wicker outdoor patio set taken from the victim’s yard. The scooter is described as a BREEZE C4 dark blue with a canopy
